On today’s Morning Joe, we present charts that show the effects of education level on employment and income later in life. In the first chart, we can see that people with a college education have drastically lower unemployment rates than those with lower levels of education. The second chart shows how the real weekly pay for people without at least a bachelor’s degree has decreased between 1979 and 2011, whereas it has increased by 15.7% for those with a bachelor’s or higher. The third chart illustrates the increase in percentage of people who have attained higher levels of education over the last decade–showing that more and more people are striving to complete higher levels of education.
